NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT

Dear ladies, Dear sirs,

Over the last few weeks, we have been following closely the evolution of the growing impact of the coronavirus (CoVid-19) pandemia, not only locally but internationally as well.

Due to the increased spread worldwide, and for the reason that our first priority is to ensure the health and well-being of all the attendees to this event, the Steering Committee of EDEG and the National Organizing Committee has decided to POSTPONE the 55th Annual Meeting of the European Diabetes Epidemiology Group (EDEG) scheduled for 9 to 12 May, 2020, in Hersonissos, Heraklion Crete, Greece.

We would like to announce that the new dates for the 55th Annual EDEG Meeting are 24, 25, 26 and 27 April 2021 at the same venue Creta Maris Hotel. Any changes concerning the Scientific Program will be updated on the official Website of the 55th Annual Meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Crete, Greece!


REGISTRATION FEES & ACCOMMODATION NIGHTS

Congress World may maintain all paid Meeting's Registration fees for the new dates in April 2021 without any extra charge, if a delegate wishes to do so.
Congress World will roll-over any existing hotel bookings at the Hotel to the New Dates without any additional cost.
In case any registered delegate cannot attend, it is possible to have the Meeting's Registration and the hotel room accommodation transferred to another name.
In case it is impossible for a delegate to attend on the new dates of April 2021, or proceed with name changes regarding the Registration and the hotel accommodation nights, refunds will be actualized at the same account of the deposit. In such case a written request is necessary and the refund will be finalized until June 2020.

NEW ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

> The Steering Committee decided that Abstract acceptance will not be transferred to the new dates of the 55th EDEG Meeting 2021.
> The Abstract Submission procedure will be realized again ANEW.
> A new Notice will be sent out for the new dates of the Abstract Submission.

Allow us to express our apologies for any inconvenience caused; we hope we can rely on your understanding due to this exceptional pandemia in the entire world.

We wish health above all to everyone and may this unprecedent crisis come to end soon with the fewest possible casualties.

We are committed to organizing an unforgetable EDEG Meeting in April 2021 and we really do hope you will be able to be a part of.
